Saint Louis Fashion Week was founded in 2006 with a mission of creating a platform from which national designers can reach their Midwest customers and local fashion designers can launch their careers. The STLFW runway has showcased international designers including Rebecca Taylor, Tess Giberson, and Eva Franco and has boosted the careers of St. Louis natives such as Wai Ming, Laura Kathleen and Skif International. Each year, Saint Louis Fashion Week reaches over 10,000 attendees and raises over $10,000 for local charities.
This October, the Saint Louis Fashion Fund Emerging Designer Award will be awarded at Saint Louis Fashion Week’s Emerging Designer Competition presented by Brown Shoe on October 15, 2014.
The Emerging Designer Competition was created to offer a platform for aspiring designers and to financially support one designer in reaching the next level of his or her career. Six designers will be chosen by the Saint Louis Fashion Fund to show their most current collection, sharing the STLFW lineup with Yigal Azrouel, Timo Weiland and Tess Giberson. One of the six will be selected by our expert judging panel, led by New York Fashion Week Creator, Fern Mallis to receive an award package including $15,000 cash.
Designer submissions accepted through August 8, 2014.
