Saint Louis Fashion Week's first sustainable "green" fashion event features St. Louis' top up-and-coming designers and an innovative recycled fashion show by Goodwill

This year's Project: Design! event at the Contemporary Art Museum recognizes the contributions of St. Louis' best local design talent while raising awareness about sustainable living. Local designers Andrew Thouvenot of Trashbiscuit, Paul Gibson of Reign by Paul Gibson, Carmella Simpson of Mella Y, Shawn Williams of Eyekon and Re.Constructe>D<estruction, Janet Moore of Yani Co. and Shan Keith of Shan Keith Designs premiere their latest collections. The night of sensory immersion unites art, fashion, light and sound with live music, skate performances, dance, tattoo art and an installation of innovative fashion designs created through a unique collaboration between St. Louis artists and fashion designers, plus Goodwill Industries' green fashion show featuring inventive looks that are as chic as they are earth-friendly. Presented by Goodwill, Houlihan's and Pure Power, AmerenUE's renewable energy program, Saint Louis Fashion Week's first sustainable event will be powered by wind. Shop the local designer marketplace to purchase looks fresh off the runway, and get involved in the political process with Art the Vote, a Missouri-based committee that uses original art to target young voters and members of the creative community, which will be on hand for its voter registration marathon, Midnight Madness.
